Starting point

Hampshire
BH25 6DY

This ride is suitable for those who can ride 20 miles in distance and in some traffic. We will aim to ride at a pace of 14mph/22kmh.

Come and experience the best of the New Forest and Hampshire Coast! This ride has been designed to give you a flavour of our lovely cycling terrain including forest, pretty villages, beaches and glorious views over the water to the Isle of Wight and The Needles.
Our ride leader will start with a pre-ride briefing, bike check and if new to group riding, will run through some safety points and show you some useful hand signals.

We’ll then head off out of town and to the Southern edge of the New Forest where you will no doubt encounter the wild ponies and donkeys before heading through pretty villages down to the harbour at Keyhaven and views over the marshes and channel towards Yarmouth. We then follow the coastal and stop for a view of The Needles before continuing to Barton-On-Sea and back to New Milton for a short de-brief and maybe a coffee if you have time.
This ride will give those new to riding confidence on the road in traffic whilst introducing you to some group riding skills.
Please ensure that you cycle is road-worthy, you are wearing a cycle helmet (mandatory on our rides), are wearing suitable clothing for the weather (preferably layers) and have water with you. There are toilet opportunities en-route at Keyhaven and also Milford and Barton as well as at our start/finish point.

The ride is FREE! … Parking is also free in nearby streets and on a Sunday beside the recreation ground. The ride may be cancelled due to bad weather in which case a notification will be sent out at least an hour before the start time.
We look forward to your company.
