Starting from - This is a popular route we've done a lot in the past up to the great cafe at PE Mead near Tring.

We'll meet by the bridge in Canal Fields car park.
Canal Fields car park is free, but please bear in mind that it is sometimes very busy, so you cannot guarantee getting a parking place. Please allow time for this and alternative parking can be found at St Johns Well Lane car park , but this parking is not free. You can walk over the canal bridge from this car park to the meeting point on the other side of the canal.

We'll start in Berkhamsted and make our way up to along quieter roads, skirt round Tring and make our way to the cafe near Wilstone. On the way back we'll ride past some of the beautiful Tring lakes, through Aldbury village, Northchurch and then return to our starting point in Berkhamsted.

Anne and I will be riding to Berkhamsted from Chaulden, so riders can also start at Camelot Rugby ground if this is a preferable starting point. This will add about another 7 miles to the overall route. Please message me if you want to start here at 10:30

This route is an old favourite, using quieter lanes where possible from central Berkhamsted up to PE Mead cafe near Wilstone and Tring lakes.

Most of the roads are quieter lanes, but there are a couple of sections where we need to use busier roads.

We'll stop for refreshments at the fabulous cafe at PE Mead. There is also a well stocked farm shop, so bring a bag if you want to grab some goodies!

Please wear a helmet and clothing suitable for the weather. Bring a spare inner tube in case of punctures.

This route has a couple of hills and is just over 20 miles, so a good challenge for those wanting to ride a little further. Everyone can take the hills at their own pace and we meet up for a rest at the top!
