Greyhound Inn, 82 Main Street, Riccall, YO19 6TE We will drive to car park at beginning of cycle path from here.

Sadly, the York Cycly Rally has been cancelled, but NOT the Big Breeze Bike Ride! Weather permitting, we'll take a picnic and eat it by the race course. However there is a pit stop en route which may come in handy. So please tell your friends and let us celebrate Cycling for Women.  It will be a gentle ride along one of the first traffic-free cycle paths. No hills to climb here, but aimed at cyclists who want to go that little bit further. We can stop along the way to take photographs and enjoy the scenery. Please note this is a 20 mile round trip in total. The scale model of the Solar System is spread out along 6.4 miles, a little over 10 km, of the old East Coast main-line railway. We'll always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no-one is left behind.   Any type of bike is suitable as long as it's in reasonable working order. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack.  Please dress appropriately for the weather. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  Look forward to seeing you there.
