WV5 8DW

The South Staffs Railway Walk car park at Wombourne Station, Bratch Lane. Plenty of free parking available but beware of a height barrier in operation sometimes.

This will be a beautiful but challenging ride. The scenery will be glorious BUT there are some tough climbs in both directions. However there are also some fantastic descents, especially going into Bewdley. The route goes from Wombourne towards Kinver and out to Compton and Shatterford. There is a steep climb at Shatterford and again at Trimpley before the descent into Bewdley. After 18 bumpy miles, the food stop, in the heart of Bewdley, will be most welcome. The return, also 18 miles, goes through Wolverley, Drakelow back through Swindon to Wombourne. There are short sections of unavoidable A and B road cycling but the ride is mostly along lovely country lanes. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop, rest, take on refreshment, take pictures etc etc. No-one will be left behind so if you fancy some hill challenges, this ride is for you. Total distance 36 miles. Average Speed 9-10mph. Estimated time back 3.00 - 3.30pm This ride best suits road bikes and hybrids. Please bring on board water, food on the move and a spare inner tube. The wearing of a helmet is strongly advisable. Please contact me if you want further details Leah m: 07905068818
