A steady day out of around 28 miles from Abbots Langley to the Orchard Café in Shenley Park, where we’ll be stopping for refreshments, a chat and a visit to their walled garden. The café sells home made apple juice produced by Shenley Orchard, and delicious cakes as well as savoury food. The route passes through leafy Bricket Wood, pretty lanes in Shenley and Radlett, and the picturesque Munden Estate. This ride is suitable for hybrid bikes and road bikes with wider tyres. Do ensure beforehand that your bike is mechanically sound, that the brakes work and the tyres are pumped. Toilets are available at the café. Bring along water, a bike lock, spare tubes and tools in case of puncture, money / contactless card for the café, and also additional snacks. The café is popular so if it’s too crowded, we will have a picnic in the park grounds. In view of Covid-19, there is additional guidance for Breeze rides which will be sent separately to participants. The ride is limited to two places in order to be manageable for one leader. If you are interested and find it fully booked, do join the waiting list. I can also increase places if another Breeze leader is available to assist. Looking forward to seeing you there!

We will be riding mainly quiet lanes and bridleways which may be muddy from recent rain, so hybrid tyres are recommended.

We never leave anyone behind
