Riding through the lanes to Caerphilly, where we will pick up the Taff Trail for a few miles, heading to Quakers Yard. We will then head east, picking up the Sirhowey Trail and canal back to Newport.

This is a new route, using sections of routes we've previously ridden.

Steady ride, taking back roads, canal towpath and cycle paths.

Planning a café stop in Basil & Rusty's on the way out to Caerphilly with an extra stop at the Premier Shop in Maesycwmmer for refreshments.

A good pump, a spare inner tube and a small amount of cash for coffee stops are always a good idea. Plus a helmet for your safety.
