Blazing Blue Challenge Ride - Veronica's Larder

This Blazing Blue ride is primarily for riders who wish to push themselves further. It is ideal for those who have signed up for the longer challenges and those who have completed 30+miles Blazing Blue rides. It is limited to max. 12 participants plus Champions and is for road bikes only. As a Blazing Blue it will be at 11-13 mph but of course no-one will be left behind.

Please arrive promptly at 9.15 am for the M check; also check your bike beforehand to ensure it is ready to ride.

Helmets are strongly recommended. Please bring a spare inner tube or two, tyre levers and a pump, and money for the cafe stop! Also have two bottles of drink and some easily accessible snacks in your back pocket, so that you can eat and drink on the move. Please let the ride leaders know of any medical conditions you have which may be relevant.

After introductions and checks, we will ride from The Angel Car Park through Howsham and onto Grasby, and up the first hill. From there we pick up National Cycle Route 1, which takes us via Great Limber, Beelby and Swallow to Barnoldby le Beck and Veronica’s Larder. After refreshments, we turn around and head home along the same roads.
