Bleasdale and Beacon Fell

Leaving Scorton Picnic Site we cross over the M6 and begin our first challenging climb after 2 miles. The route is quite hilly thereafter and there are also some steep descents. It takes us through the villages of Oakenclough and Chipping. Then up into Beacon fell country park. working our way back down into the village of Scorton itself.This is a lovely ride through the countryside of the Wyre district

A road ride through the Wyre and Calder Vale

Mostly B roads and country lanes. Some challenging hills and sharp descents

There is a possibility of a cafe stop in Chipping. but in the current situation it is advisable to bring snacks /refreshments/drinks.

Helmets are always advisable and riders should be aware that they will not be allowed to ride with the group without one
