This 30 mile route is on mainly quiet roads with one stretch of about 1 mile on the busier Blunsdon to Highworth road.
We start at the Blunsdon shop and café, located at the junction of Sam’s Lane and Blunt Rise. There are toilets and hot drinks available if you arrive early.

We’ll head off along Sam’s Lane and then join the B4019 Blunsdon to Highworth Road. We turn off at the “Grill on the Hill” (formerly the Freke Arms) and ride out through Hannington to Castle Eaton. This part of the route is undulating with a short climb up to Lushill House.
We then head through Castle Eaton and on to Kempsford and Fairford, skirting the RAF base.
The road is then undulating as we go through Coln St Aldwyn and drop down to Bibury for refreshments.
After our break, we have several steep climbs before the road levels out as we head towards Poulton and Down Ampney then Latton and on to Cricklade.
There will be a short sharp climb at Latton as we use the byway bridge to cross the A419.
After Cricklade, we join the C70 which is a quiet (and flat) road which takes us to the outskirts of Swindon. The ride will finish at Blunsdon station, home of the Swindon and Cricklade Railway.

There will be opportunity here for further refreshments before heading home.
