Ripley

Starting out from the car park just off Main Street in Ripley we will embark on a leisurely cycle to discover the delights of Yorkshire's beautiful Nidderdale Greenway.  Once on the Greenway we will be traffic free as we head towards the Grade 2 listed, seven-arch Nidd Gorge Viaduct which affords stunning views of the river below.  We than just have half a mile until we leave the Greenway and take a brief stop at the Gardeners Arms near Bilton. After our short break we will head back to the Greenway and start our journey back to Ripley and if we are back in time you will be able to reward yourself with an ice-cream from the Ripley Store and Ice Cream Shop, which you can enjoy whilst taking in the picturesque views of the village including the Castle, cobbled market square, complete with village stocks and the historic All Saints Church. Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.
