We will be meeting up with the ladies from the Oxford Cycling Group called Isis.

This joint ride takes us around Oxford using lovely routes….tow paths, quiet roads and dedicated cycle paths. We will visit Jericho, Wolvercote, Summertown, Marston, Headington, Cowley and Iffley, stopping for coffee and refreshments at Brookes ‘Cafe Central’.

The ride is just over 13 miles long and includes one hill, up Harberton Mead. Meet in Radcliffe Square just outside the Vaults cafe at 10.15am. Route details: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50043094

To get to the start, you can take the train to Oxford Station or cycle from the Oxford Thornhill Park and Ride. There are toilets at both of these locations.

The route from Thornhill Park and Ride is as follows, it is just under 4 miles, please allow at least 30 minutes: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50235607
Turn left out of Thornhill onto the cycle path.
At the interchange with the ring road, take the underpass and exit onto London Road.
Follow London Road all the way down Headington Hill to St Clements.
At the Plain roundabout take the 3rd exit and cross the river onto St Aldates.
Cycle up St Aldates, turn right onto Catte Street, the meeting place will be on your left.

There are cycle paths all the way, some better than others!

The route from the station is as follows allow at least 10 minutes:
Exit the station taxi/bus area and turn left onto Park End Street
At the mini roundabout go straight onto Hythe Bridge Street.
At the traffic lights go straight on (cycles only) to George Street.
At the next traffic lights go straight onto Broad Street
At the end of Broad Street, turn right at the mini roundabout onto Catte Street.
The meeting place will be on your right.
All the above roads are quite short.

Please wear a helmet, bring a spare inner tube and pump. Check your bike over in advance to make sure the brakes are working and tyres are pumped up!

As always, your bike must be in good working order, bring a spare inner tube and pump, working lights as well as money and lock for when we stop.

Checklist of things to bring:
Helmet
Mudguards (especially the rear wheel) if there is likely to be water on the roads/muddy
Front and rear Light
2 tubes (1 if tubeless)
Pump/gas canister
Rainwear/gilet (worn or in your pocket/bike bag)
Layers are good for this time of the year
Water bottle

Please have a good check over your bikes to make sure they are road worthy the day before. British Cycling have put together a handy video for checking your bike before a ride - How to check your bike - British Cycling's M Check
