Starting from the Salt and Malt, we’ll head off around the lake, admiring the countryside and woods. The route has a few smallish slopes to climb but is mostly fairly gentle undulations. The country lanes pass through the quaint villages of West Harptree, Sutton Wick and Bishop Sutton before returning back alongside the lake on a cycle path.

This route explores the beautiful Chew Valley Lake and surrounding woodland.

This route is suitable for all types of bicycles - 50% is on mostly quiet roads, the rest on traffic free cycle paths

There will be the option to stop for a breather/ comfort break/refreshments at The Salt and Malt Tea Shop/Toilets if desired,

Please bring helmets, spare inner tube, money for refreshments if desired and please check your tyres have been suitably inflated

We never leave anyone behind
