Breeze around South Bristol (1)

We’ll be riding out to Conham River Park and back – it’s a flat route that’s about half on the (no-traffic) bike path and half on suburban roads. We’ll set off from the playground in Arnos Vale park (just behind the Arnos Manor hotel) and ride along the cycle path that runs alongside the river towards Temple Meads. We’ll then head out on the River Avon trail that goes towards Crews Hole and on to Conham River Park. We’ll be too early for Beeses’s tea rooms sadly, so we’ll head back the way we came and finish with tea and cake for those who can stay (probably at the café at Arnos Vale cemetery). This ride is ideal for beginners/people who want to improve their confidence riding in a group/anyone who wants a short bike ride followed by tea and cake. It will be a steady chatting pace and no-one will be left behind. Any bike will do for this ride as long as it goes (and stops). We recommend that you get your bike checked over if you haven’t used it for a while. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. Please bring some money if you want tea and cake afterwards. This ride is suitable for accompanied children aged 12 and above if they are comfortable riding on quiet roads and for this distance. Please contact me if you have any questions about this.
