Starting point

BS4 3HQ

We’ll set off from the playground in Arnos Vale park (just behind the Arnos Manor Hotel)

We’ll be riding out towards Snuff Mills– it’s a fairly flat route that’s about two-thirds on the (no-traffic) bike path and a third on roads. We’ll set off from the playground in Arnos Vale park (just behind the Arnos Manor Hotel) and ride along the cycle path that runs alongside the river towards Temple Meads. We’ll then head out on the Bristol-Bike path towards Easton, through Eastville Park and towards Snuff Mills via the Frome Greenway before coming back the way we came. The ride will finish with tea and cake for those who can stay (probably at the café at Arnos Vale cemetery). This ride is ideal for people who want to improve their confidence riding/anyone who wants a morning bike ride followed by tea and cake. It will be a steady chatting pace and no-one will be left behind. Any bike will do for this ride as long as it goes (and stops). We recommend that you get your bike checked over if you haven’t used it for a while. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. Please bring some money if you want tea and cake afterwards, a spare inner tube to fit your bike (and pump and lock if you have them), and enough clothes to keep you warm and dry if the weather turns or suncream if it’s looking good. Please carry water and snacks for the ride. We’ll set off at 9.30 am, so please arrive 10 minutes early for introductions and a quick bike check. This is the second ride in a series of three. The others are on July 9 and 23rd. Feel free to book on just one or all three (they’ll get progressively longer!). If you’ve any further questions please contact me via email ([email protected]) or by phone (07894207310). l look forward to seeing you there! Emma
