Breeze Bideford to Yarde

This is a route from Bideford to Yarde and back, on the Tarka Trail with Julie. We welcome beginners and those who want to gain confidence on the bike. I will be there to support you and enjoy a gentle ride along the quieter part of the Trail with other women. It will be a steady, sociable ride and we will stay together going at a pace that we can all do comfortably.

We will meet at Tidal & Trail (Bideford Cycle Hire) on Torrington St and walk up the short ramp to the Tarka Trail. The route follows and, at places, crosses the River Torridge on the way to Torrington. There is a tunnel, approximately 100m, which is illuminated and has a good surface.
After Torrington the trail ascends very gradually through a forest until we reach Yarde, the turn around point. We will then have a lovely, gentle descent back to Torrington and Bideford.
The route is off road throughout. At times the surface is slightly rough and gravelly but always passable on any bike.
