This is a route from Barnstaple to Braunton on the Tarka Trail with Julie.
We welcome beginners and those who want to gain confidence on the bike. We will be there to support you and enjoy a lovely ride along the Taw estuary with other women. It will be a steady, sociable ride where we always stay together.
The route joins the Tarka Trail by the Barnstaple museum crossing the road via the tunnel and continues on traffic free paths all the way to the outskirts of Braunton. The route is flat apart from a short ramp out of the tunnel and paths are tarmacked.
The Quay cafe at Velator roundabout is the halfway point where we could stop for refreshments, depending on the group. We return to Barnstaple on the same route.
