This is a route from Bideford to Yarde and back, on the Tarka Trail with Julie. Beginners and those who want to gain confidence on the bike are welcome. We will be there to support you and enjoy a gentle ride along the quieter part of the Trail with other women. It will be a steady, sociable ride and we will stay together going at a pace that we can all do comfortably.

The route follows and, at places, crosses the River Torridge on the way to Torrington. There is a tunnel, approximately 100m, which is illuminated and has a good surface.
After Torrington the trail ascends very gradually through a forest until we reach Yarde, where we will stop at the cafe for refreshments. We will then have a lovely, gentle descent back to Bideford.
The route is off road throughout. At times the surface is slightly rough and gravelly but always passable on any bike.
