PLEASE NOTE - This route has been described as challenging due to the distance and potential headwinds along the river. Please do ask if you are not sure. Sorry the route profile will not work.
Please arrive 15 mins before so we can carry out our cycle checks before starting out.
The pace will be social but is designed to challenge you and the route is mainly flat, yes a few 'Alex - oh is this a slope I see ahead'!
From Rossett we will head across the Railway crossing and head towards Sandy Lane via Stringers. From there we will head towards Saltney Ferry.
From Saltney Ferry we will head up the Riverside path to the John Summers building and then onto the Greenway. Cycling along the greenway to Dragons bridge (gosh I am getting good at the bridge names). Here we will head off, on cycle paths towards Ellesmere Port (no we aren't going that far but easiest way to describe).
We will then head to the cafe via Saughall and the Greenway. After this we head to Chatwins for coffee, cake or even lunch depending on the time (Please be sure to bring a bike lock with you)
After our cafe stop we head back via Western Ave, Crossing Sealand Rd (carefully - as this can be a very busy road) to Saltney Ferry. Along the Riverside path to Roodee and then up via Handbridge, Eccleston and eventually along road back to Rossett where our cars will await us.
