A fortnightly Sunday morning ride, riding out of Hythe towards the Pan Flat Romney Marsh. Once we've warmed up, had a natter and got organised, we will then explore the lanes on the Marsh in a direction dependant on the wind! Some weeks, depending on the level of enthusiasm (!), we will take in the gentle rolling hills bordering the marsh to test our legs. The mileage will be in the region of 25-30 miles at a speed averaging approximately 13-15mph. The pace will be managed on the road so everyone can stay together. Always.
The cycle path in Hythe will be used each week to navigate the town to its outskirts. We will then ride on roads that, whilst not traffic free, are quiet lanes where we can gain confidence riding in a group together.
Due to the Pandemic, we currently won't be stopping for an official refreshment stop. Kerbstops will be the order of the day for now, until things change, so bring a snack and drink along with you.
Wear a helmet and some comfy clothes, keep an eye on the weather - these rides historically have dodged the rain, but we are not in normal times now so it might catch up with us! Again, due to the pandemic, we can't share equipment so be sure to have your own inner tubes pump and tyre levers.
We never leave anyone behind
