Starting point

BS41 9JN

Car park at Ashton Court (Kennel Lodge entrance end of the estate)

We’ll be riding out from Ashton Court towards Backwell and back again on this 15-mile ride. We’ll meet in the bottom car park at Ashton Court (next to the Stables Café accessed from Kennel Lodge Road) and have a quick bike check before setting off. We’ll ride together for a mile or so and then split into two groups if needed – one on the quicker side and one on the slower side to make sure everyone has a chance to ride at a pace they are comfortable with. The faster group has the option of riding Belmont Hill and then we will all meet back at the café for a drink for those who can stay. It’s a pretty flat route (Belmont Hill excepted) and no-one will be left behind. It’s not a ride for novices but it’s not a sprint either – expect a sociable pace that we hope might challenge you a little (both the slower and faster groups). Please get in touch if you want to chat about whether it’s suitable for you. ****As an incentive to ride through the winter, Breeze is offering women who complete two Breeze rides in November and December a water bottle and a choice of either cycling mitts or a Breeze buff. You can find more Breeze rides taking place nearby on the Breeze website (and see the second of our Aston Court rides at https://www.goskyride.com/Search/Details?eventid=88869). You'll need to book on the rides via the website to be eligible***** Make sure you are dressed for the weather. Please bring a repair kit/inner tube and pump if you have one and check your bike over before the day. Please also bring water (and perhaps a snack too) and some money if you are staying for a drink. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. We’ll set off at 9am so please arrive at 8.50 for a bike check. If you know you are running late please let us know, otherwise we will set off on time. If you know you can’t make the ride please cancel. If you’ve any further questions please contact me via email ([email protected]) or by phone (07894207310). Heidi and I look forward to seeing you there. Emma
