Breeze Ricky - Henley on Thames

I am always perfecting this route! I am posting my latest route here. If you have a device, please download it for the day. The route takes us through Chalfont St Giles, Seer Green, Beaconsfield and Wooburn Green to Cookham where we will cross the Thames. From here we will cycle towards Maidenhead and pass through small Berkshire villages on our way to Henley. Our return will be via Maidenhead and Taplow. We'll stop for a break either at Taplow Lake or Burnham Beeches. This is a Closed Ride. If there is someone else who you feel would like to join us please do check with me first as I am preferring to keep the ride to 6 or less people.

My annual Henley ride

Most of the route is on quiet roads but there are stretches on some busy roads but these are not for very long.

Our lunch stop will be at Chocolate Cafe by the river in Henley. Depending on how everyone feels we may stop for a quick coffee in Cookham on the way. We'll definitely have a short break either at Taplow Lake or Burnham Beeches on the way back.

As usual, please ensure that you have at least one spare innertube, a repair kit and a pump. As it's a logn ride please bring a couple of snacks as well. As this is over 50 miles should you have a mechanical that cannot be fixed on the road then you will need to have the means to get yourself home either by public transport or taxi. We will of course all help each other.
