This is a steady 23 mile ride (there and back) from Monmouth town centre to Tintern Abbey; we will be following the River Wye... it is a very picturesque route with stunning views! It's an easy going route with some gentle climbs in places but nothing too difficult but you will need a reasonable level of fitness.

We will be riding a mixture of roads, some A roads and quieter country roads and traffic free bridleways - the old railway line from Redbrook to Whitebrook so the route will be suitable for road bikes and hybrids.

We will stop for refreshments in Tintern and we can go and look at the Abbey and River Wye, take photos etc.

Helmets are required and a rear light on your bike please. Please dress for the weather, layers are better than one single layer, it is still chilly and there's always a chance of rain! Please bring a puncture repair kit/inner tubes in case you are unlucky enough to get a puncture. Make sure you have a drink and snacks as we will be out for 3-4 hours depending on the speed of the group. Bring money for refreshments and a mask for wearing indoors.

This ride is not suitable for beginners due to the distance, if you are unsure please drop me a message,
