Breeze from Redbrook to Tintern and Tidenham Tunnel - last chance before the bridge closes!

This is a lovely scenic ride from Redbrook following the River Wye all the way down to Tintern (where the Abbey ruins are), then we will cross over the Wire Bridge to join the Greenway traffic free trail which takes us through Tidenham Tunnel into Chepstow. When we get to the end we will turn around and head back to Redbrook stopping at Tintern for refreshments.

This ride is a mixture of traffic free bridelways, quiet country roads and some main A roads so you need to be confident riding on roads with traffic.

It is suitable for all bikes, but please be aware the traffic free sections are rough compacted surfaces and a bit gravelly in places so those riding bikes with no suspension/skinny tyres may find the bridleways a little bumpy. The remaining terrain will be smooth tarmac.

We will be stopping at Tintern for refreshments and there are public toilets.

Please check your bike over before the ride and make sure everything is working. Bring a puncture repair kit/inner tubes/tools should you be unlucky enough to get a puncture. You will need change for the carpark and money for refreshments.
