Breeze Round the Borough Epsom

Horton Country Park, Epsom Common, Nonsuch Park.

A scenic 11 mile off-road route based on the 'Round the Borough Bike' route created by Epsom and Ewell Borough Council. This shorter version, without hills, links up beautiful green spaces in the area.

Mostly off-road cycle paths, gravel and muddy surfaces and through parks and commons. There are some paved sections. This ride is suitable for gravel bikes, hybrids with sturdy tyres, mountain bikes.

Planned refreshment stop is at The Horton Cafe/heritage centre at the end of the ride. The Horton is the location for the first permanent exhibition dedicated to the fascinating history of Epsom’s cluster of five psychiatric hospitals, and the people who lived and worked there.

Please ensure your cycle is roadworthy with inflated tyres, chain oiled and working brakes. Please bring a lock for the refreshment stop. Please bring a spare inner tube in case of puncture and tools to change it (don’t let this put you off as I will carry tools and a pump). Please bring water and money for the cafe. Please wear a helmet that fits correctly. Please dress warmly as we will be cycling and outside for about two hours.
