DATE CHANGE Breeze through Winter - Cwmbran Boating Lake to Abersychan - back via Pontypool park

Join me on a nice morning ride from Cwmbran Boating lake carpark, the one opposite the Alders in Llanyravon. Note the postcode is for the Alders, you need to turn left into the carpark at the turning to the Alders on Llanfrechfa way. We will follow the river to Chapel lane and then cut across to the canal and head up to Bevans Lane towards Pontypool and Abersychan where we leave the path , just opposite 'The British' and cycle on some quiet residential roads. The route is mainly on the sustrans route with just a short section at Abersychan on the main road, we will return to Pontnewynydd on a section of cycle route which I think may be new to you!. Then onwards to Pontypool park via the riverside route. We'll return on the old railway route sustrans 492 heading back to the boating lake. Hoping to find a cuppa at Pontypool park but feel free to bring your own snacks and drink.

We'll start at the boating lake with a quick bike check, make sure your bike is in good working order and tyres are pumped up and don't forget your helmet. Hope to see you there.
