SGG Breeze to Bushy Park via Teddington Lock

This is a long ride but an interesting one with varied scenery and road surfaces.
We will cycle on mostly quiet streets of South London to reach Bushy park, but as always on urban roads there is the strong possibility of encountering impatient and hostile drivers.
It is a mostly flat route, with some undulations and a bit of a stinker on the way back. Due to the distance, this is a demanding ride for confident cyclists, although it should be interesting and fun. It is NOT a ride for beginners, as we may well encounter some busy traffic and tricky junctions on the route.
You should be able to maintain a steady pace throughout (9-10mph) so we keep to the timings referred to in the information details and be confident you have the stamina for such a long ride.
There will be a lunch stop at either Canbury Gardens and/or the Pheasantry cafe, (depending on timings) and then we will continue back to Kingston and back the way we came. If time allows, we could return via Hampton Court palace and follow the Thames path for a while, before returning by much the same route.
Please ensure you are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions and that your bike is in good working order. with the tyres pumped up to the correct pressure.
