It's that time of year for our annual pedal to Cogsmill for some marvellous Cream Teas. This year the group are raising funds for Blood Bikes which we're sure you'll all agree is a fabulous cause worth supporting.

This year we will meet at the Bottle Bank on Henderson Road and head out towards Hassendean, dip down into Denholm before heading out for a brief period on the main road as we head towards the junction which will take us to Bedrule. We'll pedal through Bedrule and take a right at the War Memorial and onwards to the Swinnie. Taking a left at East Foderlee we will continue straight on this road taking the junction off to the left which will take us on some new roads, outwards to Hi Foderlee and back round by Gateshousecotes which will offer some quaint little roads and some lovely views of Ruberslaw. At the bottom of the hill, we'll take the first left which takes us along another quiet road along the back of Bonchester Bridge. Turning right we will pedal through Bonchester Bridge and outwards past Weens House. As we get into our little gear, we'll take a left at Hallrule Mill and embrace the short climb to Town O'Rule where it levels out and takes us on some more beautiful quiet roads onto Bonchester Heights. We will take a left and right and head along the familiar sights of Earlside and to Cogsmill where we'll be rewarded with some scrumptious home baking.

Once we've well and truly indulged oursevles and enjoyed some great banter, we'll head back to Hawick past Stobs and to the Heart of Hawick.

This is a social ride and we will be riding at a leisurely pace, as a group.

Always wear a helmet and gloves are advisable. Please keep an eye on the forecast and dress appropriately for the weather. Please ensure your bike is in good working order and you have spares or any tools you may need for your specific bike. If you have an e-bike please ensure you have enough power and a plan in place should you have any electrical faults. Please ensure your tyres are pumped up and you have a drink, a snack (if you think you might need one) and money for the cream teas.
