Starting point

Clackmannanshire

Leaving the Coronation Hall, we will cycle up towards the “odd” junction. This route starts with a hill! We then have a lovely descent to Naemoor Road where we cycle past the deer farm, through Crook of Devon before turning towards Cleish, then up and over Aldie Hill. We have a short descent to the milk bar. The journey back involves a short section on the shared path to Rumbling Bridge. We then cycle over the undulating Muckhart Golf Course road before returning to Pool of Muckhart. These little hilly sections will undoubtedly keep us warm on a November day.

A figure of 8 loop starting at the Pool of Muckhart, along to Crook of Devon, over the Aldie Hill to the newly refurbished Powmill Milk Bar where we will stop for coffee and cake before heading back up through Muckhart Golf Club back to the start. This route is undulating with a few hilly sections that will need a bit of extra effort. Nothing too steep - and the views are nice - so worth a little climb. It is likely we will split into two different paced groups if there are sufficient numbers of riders.

All tarmac roads, mainly quiet back roads.

We will regroup as needed on the ramps and hilly sections. Riders will have time to stop en route for drinks as needed. We will have a coffee/cake stop at Powmill Milk Bar.

Please wear a helmet (strongly recommended), bring money for the coffee shop, ensure your bike is well maintained with tyres pumped up. You should have any tools that are specific to your bike, spare inner tubes and a means of inflating your own tyres. Bring any drinks or snacks you need for yourself and a waterproof jacket. Gloves are beneficial at this time of year along with a scarf or headband under your helmet. Layers are ideal, as are bright colours. If you have bike lights, please put them on your bike and ensure they are charged. Please pop a mudguard on your back wheel (at least) to prevent other riders getting soaked and dirty.

We never leave anyone behind
