Breeze - Watford Cycle Hub - Cafe Rides - Van Hage, Chenies - Graceful Green Pace 8-9 Mph average over-the-route

This ride is to give ladies a chance to take on a Challenging Category 20+ mile ride with hills, but without any pace pressure. We will probably average 8-9 mph over the route. Walking a hill or two is fine, and there's always next time conquer it! : ) The route is mainly on quiet, and very lovely country lanes through Loudwater, Sarratt, Flauden and Chenies. There will be a few busier sections, but you will be looked after - that's what Breeze Champions are trained to do. : ) The special challenges on this route are: a long, winding descent into the Chess Valley, where we can re-group down by the river; followed by a short, steep climb up to Chenies & the Van Hage Garden Centre for huge slabs of cake or whatever you fancy! : ) Refreshed, we will then descend again into the Chess Valley, and then climb out of the river basin via Flaunden Hill, which gives you the chance to take on a long, steady climb that has a final steeper section just as you near the top, and a green dragon peering at you - no really - its head looks over from the garden of the pub of the same name! We will then meander back through quiet country lanes to Watford Cycle Hub. Please bring: one or two spare inner tubes (or you can buy these at Watford Cycle Hub on the day if need be); & money for the stop at Van Hage if you want anything.
