Breeze with Baby - Hertford

Gradual uphill towards Welwyn, which means an easy downhill to return to the football club with. Surface is smooth, no challenging sections.

Gentle cycle up the Cole Green Way to the edge of Welwyn and back, traffic free with a stop at the pub for coffee/tea just over half way through. This ride is for women plus young children which are either in a bike seat or a trailer attached to the back of the parents bike. This group ride is not suitable for children on their own bikes. This is a social style ride, no racing and no need to have a fancy bike or lycra!! Chance to get some fresh air, chat with others and get used to cycling with someone attached behind.

The route is a shared path with pedestrians and horses, mixture of tarmac and compressed surface, suitable for most bikes.

The Cowper arms provides refreshments from 11am so we will stop there on our way back from the edge of welwyn.

Please wear a helmet and bring tools and provisions required to repair a puncture on your specific bike. Your bike should be in a serviceable condition. Please also check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.
