This route in association with Shefest is to celebrate women and self identifying women in Sheffield.
We will do a short city ride taking in landmarks relating to Women and street art plus other curiosities along the way.
Our ride will be mostly on shared paths and bike specific cycle lanes plus quieter shared routes and spaces.
Please bring a road worthy bicycle, and carry spares such as inner tubes. Please dress in comfy clothes for cycling and layer up as the weather may still be cold. Helmets are optional for adults. Should you not own a bicycle but wish to take part in our ride, bikes can be hired locally at Russell's bike shed at the Railway Station. Russell's website can be found at
www.russellsbicycleshed.co.uk and Ofo bikes hired from 50p per Half an hour via the Ofo dockless bicycle app. We suggest if using Ofo bikes to hire them for 2 hours plus just to give yourself plenty of time.
Please also carry drinks and snacks for on the route. The ride is expected to take around 1 hour. We will be stopping regularly to point out landmarks, places of interest, street art etc.
After the ride there will be a cafe available at Dina Venue on Cambridge Street and also a chance to stay for a special Women in Cycling Q+A session with Breeze Champions and Special guests. This will start at 12 noon and finish at 1.30pm. Tickets will be available Free of Charge separately via Event Brite and SheFest. Should you require the Q+A event link please email me on
[email protected] and I will send it to you!
