Don't be put off by the "Challenging" category allocated to this ride. This is due to it's distance NOT speed which will be a fairly leisurely 8-10 mph average This ride takes us out along the River Rea/ route 5 towards Rubery then Waseley Hills and on through the villages of Bellbroughton and Chaddesley Corbett. We'll cycle along cycle paths and mainly quiet roads and country lanes, including some hills, to Harvington Hall. This is a delightful medieval and Elizabethan manor-house which is surrounded by gardens and enclosed by a moat. It also has a lovely café which is the focus of our main, ie lunch, stop. There'll be enough time for any who want to look around the Hall (entry fee to Hall and grounds is approx. £8 - but look on Groupon or Living Social for half price vouchers , still available 31/8/16) before we meander our way back along the lanes. A hybrid or road bike would be most suitable and it's helpful to bring a spare inner tube and a drink plus money for the café stop. A good idea also for this longer ride is some roadside snacks! For more details about any of these rides or if the weather is a bit “iffy” on the day give me a ring Looking forward to seeing you on our rides Gaye 07738334271 Ann
