This Breeze Network Basingstoke ride is open for anyone to join

Free, women-only bike rides led by experienced Breeze Champions. They are a great way to get started in cycling or to improve your skills, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist.

Everest Community Academy, Oxford Way.

Meet in front of the school at the western end, top of Don Allen Drive (i.e. nearest to where they're building new houses).

We'll ride down into Sherborne St John then past the Vyne to Bramley, over the level crossing then part way towards Silchester. Then south down Ash Lane / Frog Lane and through Little London. Short stretch on A340 to Elm Park garden centre / cafe. Homebound via Monk Sherborne and Sherborne St John. Overall riding pace approx 8 mph.

Please make sure you arrive so that you're ready to start the ride at 0945 with time before that for a chat about the route. And if you're new to Breeze please be there 10 mins beforehand so we can guide you through a bike check.

- Use any bike type so long as it’s in working order – make sure your tyres are well inflated.
- Bring a spare inner tube and pump that fit your tyres plus tyre levers (also puncture repair kit if you have one).
- Also bring water and money / lock for café.
- Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather (that won’t get caught in your chain etc
