We will head down the towpath to the bridge at Fallwood Marina, here we will leave the towpath turning right onto Pollard Lane for a eighty yards, then turn right onto the private road that will take us to Kirkstall Forge train station, we will use the lifts to get to the other side of the tracks, pick up the road on Butlers Wharfe, up to the lights to join the A65 then use the bus and cycle lane down to the Abbey (1 mile)

Once we have checked the Abbey out we will head down to the retail park for our coffee stop.

We come out of the retail park, turn right onto the cycle lane on B6157, up to the lights, turn left onto Wyther Lane then Broad Lane, then right and pick the towpath back up and back to Saltaire

Mostly canal Some road sections will be quiet roads but some will also be on busier main roads

Check the weather! Helmets needed plus warm clothing and wet weather gear to cover all eventualities. Pumps and inner tubes. Cash/card for payment at cafe stop.
