Sands Centre
This route encompasses everything Carlisle has to offer. Starting and finishing at the Sands Centre the route follows the national cycle route 72 along Hadrian`s cycleway, the Hadrians Wall Path and the lovely River Eden. It passes through 2 of Carlisle`s biggest Parks, Bitts Park and Rickerby Park into the picteresque Linstock Village.
The route returns via Brampton Rd and back into the scenic Parks. You then travel into Willowholme Industrial estate to the sites of some historical industrial heritage on the way back to the start point.
The sights you'll see are Carlisle Castle, War Memorial, Drawdykes Castle and a totem pole!
