About the route
Starting out from the road leading to the Lakeland Motor Museum at Backbarrow near Ulverston we will head back to Haverthwaite and then head towards the Swan Hotel at Newby Bridge. We will cycle through the lovely village of Staveley in Cartmel and then use the cycle path along the main road to Ayside. Quiet lanes will lead us gently down to Cartmel, on towards Cark and then turning for the return past Holker Hall, through Haverthwaite and back to our starting point. Cafe Ambio awaits for well deserved refreshements - please bring some change.
