Stantonbury Car Park

A ride out to Castlethorpe both on and off road. Leave Stantonbury car park, head to Castlethorpe via redway and National Cycle Route 66 through the Ouse Valley Park. At Castlethorpe we will head back towards MK riding on the road. At Haversham we will take a left and then head through the Linford LakesLakes down Mill Lane area to the Grand Union Canal. We will then follow this to the railway walk and use this toto get back to Stantonbury. I've suggested 20 miles as a distance but we could extend or shorten depending on how people feel on the day and the weather! This isn't a hard ride distance wise, but the terrain is challenging. The route to Castlethorpe can be muddy, and the route through the Linford Lakes is a rough, energy sapping road with a gradual incline. Bike wise its perfect hydrid riding but probably best with nobbly tires not smooth tyres. Mountain bikes and cross bikes also ideal. Don't bring your best carbon road bike!
