Chepstow to Easter Compton - with a twist

We set off over the old Severn bridge and then along Old Passage Road. We cross the main road to continue on the cycle path and then lanes towards Northwick. In Northwick we join the cycle path again to ride out to the sea wall north of Severn Beach. We then cycle along the path under the Prince of Wales bridge and then head along a quiet few lanes to find cycle paths that take us around the distribution centres and over the M49. The cycle path then continues on until we meet Bow Street Lane and we follow this into Easter Compton. Then it's through the village on the B road until we reach the farm shop.
After a short break, we rejoin the road briefly before turning off and use the quieter lanes behind Pilning to return to Northwick. From here we retrace our route back to the start, removing the need to ride on the busier road back to the bridge.

A variation on our usual route to Easter Compton - adding a few miles but including more traffic free sections.

This route is mostly a mix of quiet lanes and some traffic free sections. There is a short section on a slightly busier road as we approach and leave the coffee stop (about 1 mile in total).

We will stop at the farm shop at Easter Compton for refreshments.

Please wear a helmet and bring along a lock and some money for the coffee stop. Also, it is a good idea to carry a spare tube just in case.
