We will head over the Severn Bridge and then towards Pilning . If we are lucky, Passage Road will be open again and we can avoid the busy road. We then use the NCN route around Pilning and out to the Easter Compton farm shop.
After our rest stop, we head out along the NCN route on Pilning Street and then into Olveston. From here we use a mixture of quiet lanes and a busier road to get back up and over the bridge to our start point.
If you want more of a challenge as the main route is fairly short and flat, I will start the ride in Caerwent at 9:30am. This adds in approximately 12 miles using cycle paths and lanes along with a challenging little hill at Mathern - up on the way out and down on the way back.

A lovely steady ride over the Severn Bridge to Easter Compton to the farm shop and cafe. Return route via Olveston. There is an option to start and finish in Caerwent to in an extra 12 miles with a nice little challenging uphill on the way out and a downhill on the way back.

Most of the route is using quiet country lanes on the National cycle route. There are a couple of sections on busier main roads so you need to confident to ride these. A few sections are also on dedicated cycle paths.

Our main stop is in Easter Compton at the farm shop and cafe. For those opting for the extra distance, there will be a stop in Chepstow as we meet up with the main group.

Please wear a helmet and bring some money, a lock and a spare tube just in case.

First-timers welcome!
