A 37 mile route starting from Stockport to the country lanes of Cheshire and back. We'll be heading onto some traffic free cycle path towards Macclesfield and then on some quiet winding country lanes past Macclesfield, Bollington, Knutsford and Heald Green. It will be steady and there will be regular breaks to let people catch up (we don't leave people behind). At the end we often like to have a drink which is a great social opportunity to chat to other people that you didn't get chance to during the bike ride - it would be great if you could join us :-) ... please bring a bike lock to keep your bike safe!

It will be mainly quiet roads but there may be some slightly bumpy paths and brief sections on busy roads, but we will try to stick to the roads with least traffic.

There will be a lunch stop around half way at a pub or cafe so bring some pennies. We will stop regularly to allow people to catch up.

Please bring a road, hybrid bike with road tyres that is in good mechanical order. We advise you wear a helmet for your own safety, but it's not compulsory. You should also consider bringing some of the following: spare inner tube and tyre levers, any special tools that your bike needs, some food or snacks for energy, a cycling bottle attached to your bike and plenty of water, bike lock and eye protection. Please wear/bring waterproof, warm clothes which are suitable for the weather forecast and time of year. You will be exercising so lightweight layered clothing is best. Please have footwear that is appropriate for your bike Don't forget sun cream (if it's summer) - you just never know with the UK weather!

First-timers welcome!
