Starting point

South Yorkshire
S25 1YD

This ride has been postponed from Sunday 14th October, 2018, on safety grounds following poor weather forecast.

It follows bridleways and lanes in South Yorks and North Notts. Much of the bridleway sections are flat and broad with good surface, however there are a few sections which have suffered erosion during this dry summer. The pace will be the comfortable speed of the slowest rider.

We begin with a run down the Old Mineral Line Trail and then join the Bluebell Way. Passing through the village of Anston we travel National Cycle Route 674 to Woodsetts. From here there is a road section to gain access to Shireoaks Woodland and Marina. We then follow quiet lanes and bridleways to Steetley and the picturesque All Saints Chapel. Using quiet lanes we now pass Netherthorpe Airfield and pass onto Turnerwood to stop for a coffee. We continue our journey along the Chesterfield Canal towpath onto bridleways passing Brancliff Grange and the famous Lindrick Golf Course. We complete our journey on road, passing through the villages and hamlets of Woodsetts, Gildingwells, Letwell and Firbeck before finishing in Laughton en le Morthen.
