The ride will leave Robin Park and follow the Leeds and Liverpool canal to Crooke Village where we leave the towpath and follow the trail to Shevington and climb through Elnup Woods to Standish Wood Lane before descending the multi user path to the chippy.

The return route will be through Beech Hill and back on the towpath to Robin Park.

Please ensure that your lights are in working order.

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be put on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads, short stretches of busy roads and tracks and trails.

There will be short stops en route and a longer stop at the chippy.

Please bring drinks or money to buy them. Helmets must be worn on this ride.

New riders are welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind.
