Led by experienced ride leaders, these rides are a great way to explore new places and to meet new people who enjoy cycling. They are suitable for all levels of experience, so whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist, you can find a ride that is right for you.

Cinder Track Trip - 15th/16th April 2023
Day 1 - Saturday 15th April 2023
Meet at Clara Vale village hall at 8am sharp.
Minibus transport to Whitby - Cycle the Cinder Track Whitby to Scarborough.
Bring breakfast (or a snack) to eat on the minibus, so you’re not setting off on an empty stomach once we arrive. To prevent waiting times with a group at cafes, also suggest bringing packed lunch and snacks with you.
There are a couple of places to stop for a pee enroute, but be prepared that you may need to ‘tree wee’!
Stay the night at Premier Inn South Bay. All rooms are booked as twin, but this is generally a double bed and single bed (bikes can be stored in rooms at Premier Inn).
Free evening to do as you please. Plenty of places to eat nearby.
Day 2 - Sunday 16th April 2023
Breakfast is available in the Brewers Fayre, attached to the Premier Inn, at a cost of £9.99
Meet for 10am departure from Premier Inn
Call at supermarket as we set off, to pick up some lunch and snacks.
Cycle the Cinder Track Scarborough to Whitby.
Hopefully have time for rewarding ourselves with seaside fish n chips before being picked up. Pick up from Whitby at 5pm for transport back to Clara Vale.
OTHER NOTES:
The Cinder Track is roughly 21 miles (in each direction), but it’s a slow ride on VERY varied terrain - which can get a bit rough in parts!… An undulating route in both directions, which can be challenging in parts.
I’d suggest robust tyres (anything with some grip, above 32cc).
Don’t forget standard repair kit, lock, lights.
