GROWE Failsworth to No. 93 Wellbeing Centre Harpurhey

We will ride 10 miles along A as well as B roads beside other traffic (which can be busy at times) in north Manchester together with 5 miles of traffic-free cycleway on the Fallowfield Loop and separate cycle paths along the busy Alan Turing Way, past the Etihad stadium.

There's a short climb at the beginning of Woodhouses followed by a long descent after we pass Brookdale Golf Club then another longer but not steep climb at the foot of Berry Brow by Clayton Vale along the undulating and long Edge Lane into Gorton.

You MUST be used to riding alongside moving traffic on your right and parked cars on your left, especially in pairs on narrow and bendy roads. Please be mindful and pay close attention to vehicles turning LEFT either right infront or overtaking from behind to do so, especially at busy intersections. There's a couple of junctions en route (esp where Queens Rd meets Rochdale Rd) where we need to move right into the primary position in in preparation for turning right at the traffic lights.

We'll return to GROWE using narrow roads & towpath along the Rochdale Canal for the last 2 miles of our ride.
