Starting point

Greater Manchester
M35 0LB

From Marlborough Drive in Failsworth we'll be riding on local roads onto busier Edge Lane with a short steady climb just after the sharp descent down Berry Brow. We then go through Sunnybank Park to Droylsden, going past a narrow cobbled bridge (you may want to get off and push your bike over it) leading to Moravian Field and then a quick look round the famous Moravian Settlement on Fairfield Square before heading off towards Fallowfield Loop then onto the winding Stockport Canal Path (aka Yellow Brick Road) leading to a long 2-mile stretch on towpaths (some challenging steep descents on cobbled surface where you may choose to get off your bike) along Ashton Canal towards the city centre. We will exit the canal at a busy stretch of Great Ancoats Street before turning into narrow side roads towards our break inside the kosher vegetarian café of the Jewish Museum.

After stopping for lunch around noon, we'll return along Cheetham Hill Road and turning right at Queens Road where there's a couple of sharp but short climbs then onto a short section along the Rochdale Canal back to our starting point at GROWE.
