****Due to poor weather forecast for 21 April 2023, this ride will now take place on Friday, 2 June 2023.

We shall meet at Belbroughton Recreation Centre on Hartle Lane, Belbroughton, Stourbridge DY9 9TJ

This will be an undulating ride in the varied Worcestershire countryside through Cooksey Green, Rushock, Chaddesley Corbett and Harvington Hall. We shall return via Chaddesley Corbett and Drayton to Belbroughton.

There will be a short section where we ride along the footpath beside the A448 to the turn off to Harvington Hall where we shall stop for refreshments at their café. If there is sufficient interest we may take a tour of the building and garden too.

On our return we shall retrace along the footpath to Chaddesley Corbett and continue to Drayton and back to Belbroughton Recreation Centre.

The Garmin route for this ride is:

https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/150683195

This will be a delightful ride into the Worcestershire countryside with plenty of views and interesting sights to see.

Mainly along lanes but there will be short sections along the busy A448. We shall use the footpath between Chaddesley Corbett and the turn off for Harvington Hall. I recommend a road bike or hybrid bike

As there are quite a few hills, we shall stop to regroup and rest at the tops of hills. There will be a refreshment stop at Harvington Hall with the opportunity to visit the property if participants wish.

Please ensure you wear a helmet and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. Also ensure you have a drink with you and some money for refreshments. fees to visit the property are £12.50 adults (£11.50 seniors)

I would describe this ride as 'challenging' due to the number of climbs along the route. It would not be suitable for someone new to cycling.
