Starting point

London
SW11 2NU

Sunday August 30th. A 19.5 mile loop starting at Clapham Junction station. First we will ride beside the Thames and cross Battersea Park and cycle beside Battersea Power Station. Then through Vauxhall to Waterloo and the river crossing. Then we ride the little streets of Covent Garden, Soho and Mayfair to Hyde Park. We will traverse Hyde Park and pass Kensington Palace. Skirt Holland Park the park and ride down Holland Park the street of steroidal white villas. This way we reach our lunch stop in Hammersmith. After crossing the vehicle free Hammersmith Bridge we ride the Thames Path back to Clapham Junction.

28” minimum tyres because of the gravelly path between Barnes and Putney. The rest of the ride is on smooth ground. It’s a pretty flat route.

Meet at the Grant Road exit outside Clapham Junction station at 10:20. It will take minutes to get there from your arrival platform. We could be back there by 2 o’clock. Bring a good lock as the cafe is indoors (parking hoops in front). Please bring a spare inner tube.
