About the route
Starting point
The ride starts from the front of the Coalville branch of Halfords. Please park at the rear of the store where there is ample parking.
This 6 mile ride follows the old railway line to Whitwick church before joining some quiet roads to Thringstone woods. We then join the National Cycle Network through the woods before arriving at the ruins. We return via the same route back to the start point.
This would make an ideal ride for a family picnic as we will stop at the ruins for a break before our return.
