This ride is one of our longer Breeze rides and August is an ideal time to ride it. Please note the ride will be weather and personal circumstances permitting. This ride is also limited to six participants. You have the choice of joining it from the start/end point in Tankerton, Whitstable (50 miles) or joining it at Grove Ferry for a shorter route. Please let the ride leader know through the conversation button on this website for the ride which start point you are choosing.

We will be riding through some pretty villages with some hills, although the overall elevation is not too bad and quite acceptable for a ride of this distance. The ride is meant to be enjoyable and we will take short regular stops for water and photos as the group desires.

Expect to be out for most of the day as we cannot foresee punctures, mechanical issues, fatigue. We will not leave anyone behind, however, if the need arises and someone is having a day of not feeling too great, a ride leader with ride with that/those person/s and instruct the main body of the group to continue at a faster pace. This is no reflection on the person at the back, because we all have days like that.

One of our longer Breeze rides, join us for our own Coast2Coast from Whitstable to Deal (and back).

We will be riding on a mixture of town and country roads. Most of which are very scenic.

Our main stop for refreshments will be in Deal, ideally at Route One cafe or at the cafe at the end of Deal Pier, space and weather permitting.

Helmets are compulsory on this ride. Please bring with you inner tubes and tools to change a tyre (if you are not tubeless). As this is a longer ride it is recommended that you carry some small snacks you think you might need before and after the refreshment stop; plenty of fluids; cash/card for refreshments. Please layer up on your clothing dependent on the weather. Please make sure your bike is in a roadworthy condition and do a check to make sure everything is tightened to manufacturers recommended settings. Breeze Champions are not mechanics however we will help you as best we can. It is also advised to carry the details of someone you can rely on should you have a mechanical failure which cannot be fixed at the roadside and you need to be collected.

We never leave anyone behind
