Starting point

Wiltshire
SN3 1PT

Starting from Coate Water Country Park we will head out towards the hospital along the cycle paths and make our way through East Swindon. Crossing the bridge towards Sainsbury's we will then take the cycle path towards South Marston and then take quiet bridleways/access roads to Nightingale Woods. We will cycle through the woods on the way-marked trails before heading back to Coate Water.

This ride a is a little longer than normal at just under 14 miles but it's a very flat route and we will ride as a group at a social pace. No-one will be left behind!

This mainly flat social ride will take us through the cycle paths of East Swindon and out to Nightingale Woods where we will do a lap of the woods on the way-marked cycle trails.

This ride will be predominantly off-road. We will be riding paved cycle paths through East Swindon and some very quiet roads and bridleways. The bridleway/access road from South Marston is uneven with some large potholes which form big puddles in the wet, so for this reason this route is not suitable for trailers or tag-alongs.

We will stop to enjoy Nightingale Woods and the surrounding scenery. On our return we can enjoy a drink/snack/ice-cream at the Coate Water if it's open or pop to The Sun Inn pub.

You must wear a helmet on this ride, and please make sure you have a suitable bike in good working order. Bring a drink/snack for the ride, and money for parking/post-ride refreshments if required.

We especially welcome newbies!
